Energy Savings and Shower Effectiveness Test

The Norwegian Building Institute, renowned Scandinavia innovations testing Institute, tested the ECO Shower (originally termed Multishower) at its four different pattern formats against the four other showerhead types - the traditional flow, restricted low flow and two models using aeration.

The shower heads were laboratory tested for the following performance criteria

  • Low rate

  • Skin impact pressure

  • Temperature retention from head to feet

  • Rinsing time of set area of water based paint

  • Shower jet coverage / distribution

From these test, calculations were made on

  • Energy consumption

    (flow rate, temperature retention and rinsing effectiveness)

  • Comfort level

    ( body impact pressure, temperature retention and body coverage)

Findings The interaction between these two results were examined and ECO Shower was rated to have the No 1 leading balance of ENERGY & WATER EFFICIENCY against COMFORT LEVEL by a margin of 22% against the next rated eco shower technology.

Another interesting finding was that the ECO Shower@ 9 L/ min was found to have the equivalent comfort of a traditional flow of 19L/min.
