A revolution in the showerhead
Our Norwegian inventor set out to rethink and improve how shower water is delivered and how to extract the maximum effect from the volume of water used. Showerheads to date have remained similar to the very earliest design where water is delivered through many individual holes to create a shower stream of many individual threads and jets.
Using the basic rational that the purpose of taking a shower is always to get wet, plentifully and rapidly wet, it was deduced that prehaps the rose / sieve plate standard shower head type was not maximizing the volume of water used.
FTL Water Saving Technologyâ„¢ - tomorrows new world standard in shower technique.
To harness fully the physics of water, a turbine vane innovation was introduced. As with many groundbreaking innovations, the result closely resembles a natural process. The form of water release is similar to that of a cloud burst, repeated many many times per second. This is very different to a standard, rose type/sieve plate design showerhead where the water stream hangs together.
A good and comfortable shower experience requires an optimal blend of key performance elements. ECO Shower achieves this by uniquely harnessing the properties of water the maximizing the surface tension features for maximum wetness and effectiveness of every drop. The real advancement is overcoming the necessity of high volumes, without the limitations of aerating or jet streaming the water flow. To determine how effective the ECO Shower was against established eco-shower's, a performance comparison was carried out through laboratory test in the Norwegian Building Research Institute. Performance test results found the ECO Shower to achieve a comfort coefficient 22% greater than the next best showerhead technique and to outperform twice that of a standard design flow rate. This qualitative analysis report found ECO Showers @ 9 litre per min equals a standard showerhead design @ 19 litres per min.
ECO Showers by Nordic ECO are the only source of this technology.
